Horse Shoe Pad
When should it be used?
If you have a patient who needs pressure alleviating from the top of one of their toes then consider using a horse shoe pad.
1 First Steps
Start by cutting the pad into an arced shape, with a small indentation made on one side of the the front (anterior) edge.
- This indentation will prevent pressure being placed on the nail.

2 Cutting a U Shape
Proceed to cut an underbevelled U into the pad.
- As the name suggests, the pad should have a horse shoe shape once this is done.
