Crescent Pad

When should it be used?

If the tops of your patient’s toes need protection from rubbing then consider using a toe crescent pad to prevent this from happening.

1 First Steps

Take a square piece of semi compressed felt and round off two of the corners.

2 Cutting the Crescent Arc

After you’ve done this cut a crescent arc along the edge that is parallel to the rounded sides.

3 Bevel the Pad

Top bevel around the pad and if necessary you can under bevel the crescent arc.

4 Placing the Pad

Once you’ve completed shaping the pad you can place it around one of the toes.

In the demonstration Jonathan places the pad around a corn on the little toe.
